In addition to Single-unit franchises, Earthjet offers Area Developments and Master Franchises. We are currently limiting the offering of Area Developments and Master Franchises to locations outside the U.S.
We are offering Area Developments and Master Franchises when familiarity and expertise can add value in developing an international market. We are seeking local market expertise, contacts, connections, understanding of local rules, customs, cultures and government regulations, and of course aviation experience, from Area Developers and Master Franchises around the world.
Area Development
Area Development agreements differ from a Single-unit relationship primarily because the franchisee agrees to open multiple locations during a defined period of time and within a specified geographic area. Basically, Area Developments offer franchisees a way to have exclusivity over an entire region as opposed to exclusive operations from an airport. Their business will be wider in scope, involving operations at multiple airports in a region.
Master Franchises
A Master Franchise relationship is similar to an Area Development agreement, with one significant variation. The Master franchisee, in addition to having the right and obligation to open and operate multiple locations in a defined area, also has the right and the obligation to offer and sell Single-unit franchises and become a Franchisor to operators in their territory.
A Master Franchise fee is paid to earthjet upon signing the Master Franchise agreement. As franchises are sold the sub-franchisees pay a franchise fee, and ongoing royalty payments, which are shared between Master Franchisor and Earthjet.
